India has taken a new inception to supply cheap LED bulbs for the citizens of London in the United Kingdom.India will launch UJALA-Unnat Jyoti by Affordable LEDs for All scheme in United Kingdom.
UJALA is one of the largest efficiency programmes being run by Energy Efficiency Services Ltd, promoted by Indian state-run power majors.
Through this initiative, the government plans to replace all 770 million inefficient incandescent and CFL (compact fluorescent lamps) in the country with LED (light emitting diode) bulbs.
