Heavy Monsoon showers lashed Kota, Bundi, Ajmer, Udaipur and Barmer rains during the span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday. This has been the second highest rainfall noted during 24 hours in the month of August since 2005. Monsoon continues to remain vigorous over the southern parts of Rajasthan.
In fact, for the last many days, the region has been witnessing heavy to very heavy rains, leading to flood like situation. As per the weather forecast, light to good showers are expected to continue over the city for next 24 to 48 hours as well.
